We’re pleased to announce that ABD Solutions, has joined Open Autonomy as a contributing partner. Open Autonomy is collaborative platform dedicated to accelerate the adoption of open, interoperable autonomous systems within the mining industry and beyond.
While the benefits of autonomy are well recognised, high upfront costs and lengthy implementation timelines have slowed adoption across mining. ABD Solutions is helping to change that.
ABD Solutions is playing our part to make autonomous and remote operation easier to implement through our retrofittable driving robotics. They enable OEMs and operators to incorporate vehicles of any make and model into their autonomy ecosystem - as long as they have a steering wheel and pedals, we can do it! This opens up mixed and legacy fleets to autonomy - breaking down two of the biggest barriers to wider adoption of autonomy within mining.
Through our membership, we’ll collaborate with Open Autonomy to share real-world insights on implementation strategy, sensor integration and fleet control architectures, while promoting the message that autonomy doesn’t have to mean vendor lock-in or premature fleet replacement..
